Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget about everything except what you're going to do now - and do it.

Recovery is within “ARMS” reach...
Company Profile & Philosophy
Arms Acres is a serene, safe and structured environment for our patients to begin their path to recovery:
"I have been clean and sober since Dec 2008. The people at Arms Acres made me feel like I was worth something. They gave me the courage I needed to fight for my life. I was really sad and scared to leave. I would be out of the safe zone. But I knew I could do it if I wanted it bad enough. I think of the people from Arms Acres often and am eternally grateful for the knowledge, strength, and hope I received." -Mary B.
The multidisciplinary treatment team at Arms Acres includes physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, certified alcoholism and substance abuse counselors, social workers, family specialists and activities specialists. All have a thorough understanding of addictive disease; many have been touched in personal ways, providing a special empathy. Quality care is both the goal and hallmark of our staff.
Treating the disease of chemical dependency requires physical, mental and spiritual rehabilitation, with the goal of restoring addicted persons to a meaningful, productive way of life. The Arms Acres treatment program is multidisciplinary in scope and individualized in approach. The principles and traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are integrated and applied to every element of therapy.
Arms Acres is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations also accredits the facility.

The History of Arms Acres
Winifred Arms and her husband, Robert, dedicated their lives to helping those suffering from chemical dependency. As the story goes, Mr. Arms, a recovering alcoholic himself, was known to bring suffering addicts into his home in the Berkshires. Ironically, Robert Arms was killed by a drunk driver in 1971. In the years following his death, Winifred continued their dedication to the cause of helping alcoholics into recovery. She opened the doors of Arms Acres in March, 1982. Mrs. Arms died in 1995.
