LUNCH & LEARN SERIES PEER RECOVERY PROFESSIONALS HELP OR HASSLE? This session will provide the participants with the opportunity to learn about the value Peer professionals bring to the Substance Use Disorder continuum of services. Learn specifically how Peers can assist in shaping our patients treatment and recovery. CARC/CRPA AND SOCIAL WORK CONTINUING EDUCATIONAL CREDITS OUR AMAZING SPEAKER Ruth Riddick, CARC-RCP, is an ASAP-NYCB Certified Addiction Recovery Coach and charter ASAP-NYCB Trainer Registry member, a designated Recovery Coach Professional (CART), and an authorized Recovery Coach Academy facilitator (CAR). A widely acknowledged peer recovery subject matter expert, she serves as ASAP Community Outreach, supporting professional development at all levels of the community in New York State. She also serves as consultant to the ASAP-NYCB Ethics Committee and to the Missouri Peer Recovery Centerof Excellence. Ruth is a 2021 Samaritan Daytop Village /Women's Advocacy awardee and a 2019 Irish America Healthcare honoree, She has also been honored for her voluntary work by Caron, and nominated by Crossroads of Maine for a FAVOR Vernon Johnson Award
