Chemical Dependency is a disease. When someone you love is using alcohol and/or drugs,
it not only affects the user, it affects the entire family structure. With that in mind,
Arms Acres offers a Family Treatment Program designed to help family members and other
loved ones gain an understanding of the disease of chemical dependency and the effects it
has on the family system. During the Family Program, participants explore the difficulties
of the early recovery process and discover ways to improve communication patterns. Since
the disease of chemical dependency affects immediate and extended family members and
significant others, all are encouraged to attend the program. Our goal is to provide an
opportunity for all to start the healing process.
Adult patients and their loved ones attend the program on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. -
5:00 p.m. Time for visiting and lunch are included in the schedule.
The families of adolescent patients attend the program on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. -
3:30 p.m. The adolescent program also includes time for visiting, lunch and adolescent
focused programming.
All Arms Acres programs are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
